After studying Design at University, I left the North and moved down to London in the late 1990s. I got a job manning the front desk for tomato and Antirom, then worked my way up within tomato to become a project manager, working mostly with tomato interactive. After working on some great projects, going to lots of great parties and a good few years I left to work for Poke.
Poke were then a small company and needed a ‘mum’ to help organise them and their team. I did various things from studio manager in the early days, to office removals (I’m good at phone patching), organising ahem bonding trips to Italy and again plenty of project management. After my daughter was born I went back part time and worked with a couple of my old clients and took over the Poke side of accounts, helping the MD run things day to day.
In 2007 I persuaded my husband to move to Yorkshire and I very reluctantly left Poke and drove up the A1. I’ve since had a little boy and thanks to the joys of working remotely, am able to work for Roome. I aim to keep the books ship shape, and keep the money flowing in from clients and out to candidates!
